Your Health + Your Wealth

SHOW NOTES: Episode 47

I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of my very first podcast guests, Eileen Joy, to discuss the four buckets of personal finances: saving/investing/giving/spending and the many parallels between your health and wealth.

Eileen Joy is The Money Coach for Moms and founder of Money School for Moms™. She teaches high achieving moms how to create wealth so they can have a healthy relationship with money, stop living paycheck to paycheck, and teach their kids about money so they can be set for life! Her 11-year-old son knows more about money than most adults.

Eileen created an easy system that any busy mom can follow and specializes in working with high achieving, professional moms who are committed to investing in themselves and their children. Eileen has created a safe and comfortable environment to learn about one of the most avoided and taboo subjects…money. No more shame, guilt, or embarrassment.

MORE ABOUT FEED YOURSELF: HEALTHY HABITS FOR THE MIND, BODY, & SOUL PODCAST:

Feed Yourself: Healthy Habits for the Mind, Body, & Soul is all about learning the key components of overall health based on Biblical principles. When most people think about getting in shape and becoming “healthy”, they immediately think about their physical health: losing weight, making exercise a priority, possessing flexibility and endurance, and remaining disease free. But Scripture makes it clear that physical wellness is not the only area that impacts health. In order to be TRULY healthy, we have to focus on four areas: spiritual health, emotional health, mental health, and physical health.

This podcast dives deep into the tools and head knowledge you will need in order to create lasting results, but it also looks at the element that truly ties it all together – the heart knowledge that incorporates faith in God in this area of our lives and how to apply it when things get tough (and they will!).

I wanted to create a space to let you know you are never alone on this journey. Through years of experience in doing everything the WRONG way, I am here to share my journey of getting healthy from the inside out – ditching the restriction and diet culture and truly learning to treat my body as the temple God intended it to be.

Grab a cup of coffee and join me as I discuss healthy habits to incorporate in your daily life to propel you forward and FEED YOURSELF on your journey to health in all areas: mind, body, and soul!

Cultivating a Healthy Relationship with Money with Eileen Joy

SHOW NOTES: Episode 5

Imagine having a healthy relationship with money. How would that look for you and your family?

Today’s guest, Eileen Joy, is here talking all about money. Eileen is a money coach for moms. She shows moms how to create wealth without the sacrifice and still enjoy their lives so they can stop living paycheck to paycheck and have a healthy relationship with money. She also shows them how to teach their kids about money so they can be set for life.

Eileen shares where top tips for making money easy. We talk a lot about normalizing talking about money in your home. It often feels like the topic of money is something we can’t talk about but it’s so important to normalize it.

Eileen shares the four buckets and how she helps others allocate their money properly into those buckets. We chat about the money mindset and how important that is. Mindset is important in general for all areas of your life, and money mindset is no different. How you were taught about money and what you think about money shapes how you spend your money.

We talk about the misconceptions that people have about money, the importance of having conversations about money, how money does’t have to be bad, and how keeping up with the Jones’s can leave you broke. Eileen talks about going through your social media and maybe taking a break from certain people that make you feel like you need to go into debt to keep up.

We are meant to live a life full of joy and purpose and to teach our kids the same. Money should be something that helps with that, not causes stress and worry.

This conversation was a great one and I can’t wait for you to take a listen!
