RE-RELEASE: Three Important Mindset Shifts for Spiritual Growth

SHOW NOTES: Episode 46

Mindset is so important.

It shapes who we are and what we believe to be true. Mindset is important for every area of your life – spiritual life included. Your mindset can either help you grow in faith or keep you stuck in old thought patterns.

I believe there are 3 important mindset shifts for spiritual growth.

1. See everything as for my good and His glory.

This is huge. When you choose to see things as happening to help you instead of harm you, that is where true faith begins. You can align yourself with God’s truth for you and who He called you to be when you make this mindset shift.

2. Look at your past with gratitude and grace.

Give yourself grace. No matter what your past looks like, give yourself grace. Everything in your life has brought you here for this moment and the life you are living now. Your past shaped you into the person you are. You’re still here because you have work left to do and God is here to help guide you through it. You can’t change the past but you don’t have to stay stuck there.

3. Focus within.

All of the answers you are searching for are inside of your already. God gave you your vision AND the ability to follow through with it. The Holy Spirit dwells within you.I cannot wait to see where your walk with God will go when you use these three mindset shifts. When you reframe your way of thinking, you are able to move forward in your spiritual health.Thank you for tuning in! I hope this episode helped you. What to ADD to Your Diet When You Want to Lose Weight

SHOW NOTES: Episode 45

Weight loss is not a fast process. At least, it isn’t when you do it the right way. You did not gain 10, 20 or 50 pounds overnight, and you won’t lose it that way either. 

When most people try to lose weight, they go into it with a diet mentality. And why not? That’s what we’ve been taught, right? Diets are restrictive, and with restriction comes taking lots of things OUT of your diet to achieve the results you want. Yes, you can’t walk around eating an entire bag of chips and a package of Oreos daily,  but you don’t necessarily have to walk around in deprivation either. In fact, there are lots of things you need to ADD to your diet when you want to lose weight.

In this episode, Amanda and I give you three things to actually ADD into your diet to achieve the results you want to achieve. We also throw in a bonus tip, so stick around until the end 😉

The Importance of Healthy Sleep (and how to get it)

Sleep plays a crucial role when it comes to overall health and quality of life. What happens when you are sleeping contributes greatly to how you feel when you are awake. 

In children, sleep also helps support their growth and development. Over time, getting inadequate sleep can increase risk of long-term issues: heart, respiratory, immunity, as well as brain function. 

These are just some of the reasons why I wanted to bring on my friend, Kaley Medina, to talk to us all about the importance of sleep and give us some tips on how to get more quality sleep.

Weight Loss Motivation When You Want to Quit

We all lose motivation at times. 

The scale goes up. You binge one night. Your schedule is off for weeks. It’s normal. It’s also normal to give up at these times. It just sounds easier to give up, not move from the couch, and eat anything and everything in sight. But you don’t have to – you CAN keep going and motivate yourself.
